The show presents a collection of works, recounting the processes in which everything that lives, perishes, and returns to the ground fulfilling the cycle of nature. It delves into what lies ahead for all breathing things, and what they morph into. This recollection focuses primarily on creatures that inhabit the urban landscape, such as mice, rats, cats, pigeons and even humans.

Wet remains will dry and skeletonise; become organic relics, only to feed the soil one more time.

Fungi will grow there, where once life was.

Artists Izzy Bruna and Mariana Rey explore the reminiscence of death– Memento Mori— through their individual artistic practices, starting from a reflection on the cultural worldview they share. Although they believe every creature deserves to go back to earth with dignity, the open-casket characteristics of this burial invite reflection on the fate urban wildlife faces. The last tribute they can offer in their memory is the gift of remembrance.
